This is the promise Our Blessed Mother made to us, Her children, at Fatima. This, Her promise of final triumph, is our shining hope; it is the ray of light that penetrates the gathering clouds of darkness hovering over the earth. For it is only by living in union with Mary's Immaculate Heart that we can find sustenance and strength as the powers of Hell spread across the face of the earth, luring men into the "peace and brotherhood" of the kingdom of the Antichrist. We must not fall into desperation, as have so many others, at the sight of the New World Order of tyrannical Socialism, or the terrors of militant Islam, whose bloody red crescent is being carried triumphantly from nation to nation. We must not lose faith, as have so many others, as we witness the widespread chaos and confusion within the Church, as the false teachers of our times spread the cancers of heresy and doubt in every quarter. We must not give in to the alluring temptations of modern materialism and the messianic humanism which appears to be so like Christianity, but is in reality the one-world brotherhood of the Antichrist. We must not fear death in a nuclear cataclysm, for the Scriptures admonish us not to fear those who have power to kill the body, but rather Him Who has power to destroy both soul and body in Hell. We must not be deceived into believing that we can combat and overcome these diabolical forces with mere human and physical weapons, for Satan only laughs at these. Our hope against the encroaching tyranny of one-world government is not to be found in political or economic panaceas; our hope against the modernist perversion of the Church is not found in merely human endeavors and protest movements; our hope for true peace is not to be found at the international bargaining tables of the politicians. Rather, our hope, our trust, our confidence must be in MARY -- for it is to Her that God has entrusted the peace of the world and triumph over the allied legions of Hell.It is MARY who alone is our life, our sweetness, our hope, in this vale of tears. It is through Her plan and no other that we can find truth and light and peace in the midst of chaos and darkness. |
| What, then, is the Blessed Virgin Mary's plan for combating these forces of evil and safeguarding our precious Catholic Faith? | |

l. CONSECRATION: If ever there were an age in which men needed to live lives of total consecration to Mary, it is our own. For how can we possibly hope to withstand the spreading influence of Hell's myriad legions except through total abandonment of ourselves to Mary's Immaculate Heart? It is to Mary that God has given the power to crush the serpent's head and to triumph over Satan's legions; unless we live in total union with Her, what hope is there for our perseverance? The way of True Devotion must be our way, for it is the way that will surely lead us to the Truth and Light of Our Divine Savior and keep us ever close to His Sacred Heart. Our way must be; AD JESUM PER MARIAM. |
2. PRAYER: All of our external efforts and actions will surely fail if they do not spring from a deep interior life of prayer and meditation. Especially must we be faithful to that most beautiful of all prayers -- the holy sacrifice of the Mass. (But we must be faithful to the solemn teachings of the Church and participate only in those Masses which follow the norms solemnly decreed by Pope St. Pius V and the holy Council of Trent. This must also be a vital consideration in our Eucharistic adoration, lest we fall into idolatry and sacrilege). Secondly, we must make daily use of the Rosary, as Our Lady requested at Fatima. The Rosary is indeed a powerful "weapon" of grace and will be a great source of personal family strength if it is said devoutly with meditation on the mysteries. The Rosary is much more powerful than any political stratagem or nuclear weapon, for the only power that can overcome the present widespread forces of evil is the power of GRACE. "Russia will be converted" -- Our Lady's plan for victory over the new world order with its tyrannical socialist police state is CONVERSION. And that conversion is wrought by the graces obtained by our prayers united to Her intercession. |
3. PENANCE: Our personal sanctification and that of our family and of others cannot be achieved without penance and mortification. The path to Christ is the way of the Cross; there is no other path to sanctity. And our very mission as Christians is to cooperate with the redeeming act of Christ on the Cross and thus to become saints. Thus did Mary, who appeared at Fatima also as our Mother of Sorrows, ask for penance and reparation for the conversion of sinners, to save souls from Hell, and to sanctify ourselves. "UNLESS YOU DO PENANCE, YOU SHALL LIKEWISE PERISH!" |
4. DAILY DUTY: "The penance I now demand and require is the sacrifice of daily duty." Our Lord has entrusted to each of us a particular vocation; by offering up the sacrifices involved in fulfillment of the daily duties of our vocation, we sanctify ourselves and we obtain graces for the conversion of others. Our daily duty includes the living of our Morning Offering -- to live constantly (our family life, business life, social life, school life) -- all in union with Jesus and Mary. Women must also heed Our Lady's pleas for modesty and families must live a life centered in Jesus and Mary -- including Enthronement of the home to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, daily family Rosary; thus may the triumphant reign of Christ our King and Mary our Immaculate Queen begin in our homes and families! |
5. STUDY AND KNOW OUR FAITH: An important, and often neglected, part of our daily duty is to study and know our Catholic Faith that we may better live and defend it. This vital responsibility is especially important in times such as ours when the doctrines and truths of our holy Faith are being compromised and perverted by the widespread influence of modernist priests and theologians. The precious faith of our children must be safeguarded against the subtle heresies so prevalent in modern "catechisms" and CCD classes. FATIMA YOUTH CELLS should be formed in every neighborhood to teach the children true doctrine and true devotion to Mary. Parents should assist (and insist) with the formation of ESPIRITU CELLS for teenagers to safeguard their faith through prayer and study. And, in addition to personal daily spiritual reading (an absolute must for spiritual progress), a very effective and inspiring means of safeguarding your Catholic Faith is offered by the FATIMA CELL program of prayer, study, and apostolic action. To form such a Cell or to join one is one of the surest means of learning our Faith, learning the errors which destroy faith, and strengthening yourself to withstand the onslaught of the many insidious forces of spiritual destruction now rampant in the Church and in the world. It may well be that these little Cells of Mary's consecrated souls will be those spoken of by St. Louis Marie de Montfort in these latter times -- those souls who will remain true to the Faith by living their Total Consecration to Mary; those souls who will preserve the traditional Catholic Faith by coming together in small groups in their homes to pray and to study the Faith; those souls who will be miraculously protected by Mary in the midst of widespread heresy, apostasy, immorality and persecution. Do not delay -- the times are urgent -- form your FATIMA CELL today! And keep your heart filled with the hope of Our Lady's promise -- "IN THE END MY IMMACULATE HEART WILL TRIUMPH!" |
